'I’m grateful': Pratibha Ranta on Laapataa Ladies' Oscar Nomination

Director Kiran Rao’s Laapataa Ladies has been selected as India’s official entry for the Best Foreign Film Category 2025 at the 94th Academy Awards. Pratibha Ranta, who played the character Jaya in the movie, came forward with a statement following the release of this news. Pratibha Ranta debuted in the Hindi film and television industry with the television series Qurbaan Hua.
