Early budget planning, presentation more beneficial – Goolsarran
As the Government prepares to present a new budget, former auditor general Anand Goolsarran has said that Guyana should revert to early budget planning ahead of the fiscal year as it not only strengthens fiscal accountability but late approval of estimates cuts procurement activities – which account for more than half of the estimates – vulnerable to irregularities.
