Emmanuel Boateng makes Gazientep debut in Samsunpor clash

Ghanaian forward Emmanuel Boateng has finally made his debut for Turkish Super League outfit Gazientep FK. The former Leveante started for Gazientep in the game against Samsunspor at the Samsun Yeni 19 Mayis Stadyumu.He was, however, replaced after the break as the visitors lost to their hosts 2-1 on Saturday, January 26, 2025.Boateng arrived in Turkey in the winter transfer window after leaving Saudi Pro League outfit Al Orobah.The versatile forward is expected to play a key role to help Gazientep finish the campaign in a good position.Known for his goal scoring prowess, Boateng displayed glimpses of quality in his first match for the Turks.Meanwhile, just before half time, Marius Mouandilmadji opened the scoring for Samsunspor but the visitirs levelled right after the break through Kenan Kodro, who replaced Boateng in the second half.Late in the game, Samsunspor netted the winner through Soner Aydogun.Ghana defender Kingsley Schindler saw 60 minutes of action for the hosts.
