Black Stars management committee should be scrapped – Elliot Aryitey

The recent shake-up in the Black Stars management committee has sparked controversy, with football administrator Elliot Aryitey calling for its complete dissolution. The Ghana Football Association (GFA) recently appointed Dr. Randy Abbey as chairman, with ex-Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah serving as vice-chairman. However, this move has not impressed Aryitey, who believes the structure is unnecessary.Ghana’s failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) has left fans and analysts questioning the team’s direction. Under head coach Otto Addo, the Black Stars have secured only two victories in their last ten matches, a worrying statistic for a nation once considered a powerhouse in African football.Aryitey argues that major footballing nations operate without such committees, making Ghana’s reliance on one redundant."The management committee should go they go and collect money it is needless will this make us win. Does England have a management committee? Germany? Brazil? there is no sense in it," he told Peace FM as monitored by Ghanasoccernet.com.With public frustration mounting, the GFA may soon have to justify the necessity of the Black Stars management committee or risk further backlash.
