Ghana is gradually becoming 'notorious' for pitch invasion after latest incident led to the imprisonment of a football fan during a 2026 World Cup qualifier against Chad.A passionate fan Mohammed Huzeinu, 25, has been sentence to 100 days in prison after he invaded the pitch to embrace his icon Antoine Semenyo during the epic match at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday March 21, 2025.The latest incident adds to the growing concerns about pitch invasion during Ghana's international matches on home soil - which is becoming prevalent in the powerful West African nation.Already, the Ghana Football Association has paid $30,000 in expenses due to fans invading the pitch during a Black Stars games. The FA paid $20,000 for the incident which happened at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi during the game between the Black Stars and the Central African Republic.
