Club Brugge terminate the contract of Ghana's Kamal Sowah

Belgian Pro League club Club Brugge has confirmed the termination of Kamal Sowah’s contract, making the Ghanaian attacking midfielder a free agent.The 25-year-old, who had not featured for the club in the first half of the season, is now available to join any club for the remainder of the campaign.Club Brugge announced the mutual agreement to release Sowah on Thursday, January 16, 2025.The club stated, “Kamal Sowah and Club Brugge have agreed to terminate their contract by mutual consent today.”Sowah joined the Belgian side in 2021 from Leicester FC after impressing during a loan spell at OH Leuven.Over the past few seasons, Sowah was loaned to Standard Liège and AZ Alkmaar, where he gained further experience.The Ghanaian forward made a total of 53 appearances for Club Brugge, scoring two goals. Despite his previous contributions, Sowah was not involved in the team’s plans for the current season, leading to the decision to part ways.Now, Sowah will seek a new opportunity as he looks to continue his career elsewhere during the second half of the season.
