Sports and Recreation Minister-designate Kofi Adams has pledged to work closely with stakeholders in Ghana’s sports sector, including the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), to revitalize sports in the country.Adams made this statement at the GHALCA Secretariat on January 23, where he addressed attendees during the 2025 GHALCA elections.The event saw veteran football administrators Isaac Koomson and John Ansah vie for the association’s chairmanship, with Ansah emerging as the winner.In his address, Adams emphasized the importance of unity among various arms of the sports industry to foster growth and sustainability.“We need to do this (bring back the love) together with all the other arms of the sports industry; we need it, that is how we will survive,” Adams stated.“I am only here to express my solidarity to tell you that…we will be working together. Something must happen, and we will need you to make sure that that happens.”Adams, who awaits parliamentary vetting to confirm his ministerial role, is expected to prioritize collaboration and stakeholder engagement as key components of his agenda for the sports sector.
