The pursuit of continental glory begins this weekend as the Confederation of African Football (CAF) kicks off the highly anticipated 2024/25 CAF Interclub season.The competition will start with the Preliminary Rounds of the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup.The First Preliminary Round First Leg matches are scheduled to take place between August 16 and 18, with the return legs set for August 23 to 25, 2024.The Second Preliminary Round will follow, with first-leg matches from September 13 to 15, and the return legs to finalize the Group Stage draw from September 20 to 22, 2024.Top clubs such as Al Ahly SC (Egypt), Esperance Sportive de Tunis (Tunisia), and Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa) have been exempted from the First Preliminary Round of the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League due to their high rankings.
