"It was the right place for me"- Ghanaian winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi on Sheffield United move

English-born Ghanaian forward Jesurun Rak-Sakyi says Sheffield United was his first choice for his loan move from Crystal Palace despite interests from several clubs. The 21-year-old decided to join the Blades as he continues his development, having excelled two seasons ago on loan at Charlton Athletic."The plan that the gaffer had for me when we spoke was good to hear, that was why I decided to come. It was my first choice, I didn't take in the outside noise, when I spoke to the gaffer I knew it was the right place for me," he said.Rak-Sakyi is assured of consistent game time at Sheffield which will help him return to Selhurst more experienced for the English topflight."I want to play more football, this is about me getting out and playing as many games as I can. The fans will see me work hard for the team, I'm a player who likes to express myself, get on the ball and make things happen," he added. The England youth international is expected to make his Sheffield debut against QPR on Saturday, August 17, 2024.
