Ghana defender Jerome Opoku continued his blistering start to the campaign after making another goal contribution in Istanbul Basaksehir's win over Alanyaspor. The Black Stars centre-back delivered an assist in the 4-2 home victory in the Turkish Super Lig on Sunday.Opoku had starred for the Turkish club in midfielder in Europe, as they defeated Iberia 2-0 to advance to the play-offs of the UEFA Conference league in midweek.However, in an explosive start to the league game at the Basaksehir Fatih Terim Stadyumu, Krzysztof Piątek opened the scoring for the host after ten minutes.The visitors responded ten minutes later through Sergio Cordova and took the lead at the stroke of half-time after Jure Balkovec converted from the spot.Opoku served Joao Figueiredo for the leveller moments after the break before Basaksehir took charge of the game with a dominant second-half display.Deniz Turuc and Sedar Guler scored late in injury time to ensure the host collected all three points at home.
