Nsoatreman FC kicked off their maiden CAF Confederation Cup journey with a resounding 3-0 victory over TP Elect Sport of Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.Under the guidance of newly appointed coach Yaw Preko, the Ghanaian side displayed dominance, especially in the latter part of the first half.The match took a decisive turn in the 31st minute when Abdul Rahman coolly opened the scoring for Nsoatreman.Just two minutes later, former Ghana U20 winger Kwabena Adu Meider doubled their lead with a fine strike.Rahman added his second goal in the 36th minute, connecting with a low cross from Shaibu Iddrisu.Elect Sport situation worsened when goalkeeper Mahamat Bechir received a red card in the 54th minute for handling the ball outside the penalty area.Despite their numerical advantage, Nsoatreman couldn’t extend their lead further, with Stephen Diyou hitting the woodwork in the 70th minute.Goalkeeper Daniel Afazdwu made three crucial saves to ensure a clean sheet in their first-ever CAF Confederation Cup match.The second leg will be held in N'Djamena on August 24, 2024, where Nsoatreman will look to seal their place in the next round.
