Otto Addo credits Maradona for inspiring his love for football

Ghana coach Otto Addo has revealed that the 1986 FIFA World Cup holds a special place in his heart, largely due to the legendary Argentine midfielder Diego Maradona.Addo, who was a young boy at the time, watched the tournament on television and was immediately captivated by Maradona's extraordinary skills. The Argentine maestro's brilliance, culminating in his iconic "Hand of God" goal and "Goal of the Century" against England, left a lasting impression on Addo."For me, it was the first World Cup I saw, which was 1986. To see Maradona play on TV, the way he played, and that one man can be so decisive was unbelievable," Otto Addo told FIFA."For me, he was the best I've ever seen and is why I really fell in love with football. I’ve had so many good memories, but this was one of the best."Maradona scored five goals, provided five assists, and was involved in more than half of Argentina’s shots as the South Americans were crowned champions.
