RC Lens defender Kevin Danso agrees to join AS Roma
Austrian-Ghanaian defender Kevin Danso has agreed to join Italian giants AS Roma in the summer transfer window. Danso, a key figure at Lens, will join the Giallorossi on an initial loan deal before making the move a permanent one for a €22m fee plus €3m add-ons.The former Augsburg centre-back is expected to travel to Rome for his medical and conclude all formalities in the transfer window.His move to Italy is one of many changes at the Ligue 1 outfit as manager Will Still and the club shrink the size of the team for financial reasons.The 25-year-old joined Lens in the summer of 2021 from Bundesliga side Augsburg, going on to make 97 Ligue 1 appearances for the club. He played a pivotal role as the club made a return to the UEFA Champions League last season.This season, the strong centre-back has already made two appearances in Ligue 1 for the Red and Yellows.
