Crystal Palace closing in on £30 million deal for Eddie Nketiah

Crystal Palace are nearing a £30 million deal to sign Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah.The Eagles, who have long been interested in the England international, initially inquired about his availability in January but Nketiah remained with Arsenal.The transfer is expected to be structured with £25 million paid upfront and an additional £5 million in add-ons.Nottingham Forest, who were in advanced negotiations with Arsenal over a similar £30 million deal, have since withdrawn their interest and are no longer pursuing the forward.Marseille, a Ligue 1 club, also expressed interest in Nketiah, but a move to France did not materialize.The striker has yet to feature for Arsenal this season, having been an unused substitute in both Premier League matches so far.Nketiah has scored 38 goals in 168 appearances for Arsenal, and his current contract with the club runs until 2027.
