Ghana U-19 coach Abdul Karim Zito calls up 34 players for camping

Coach Abdul Karim Zito has invited 34 players for the first phase of residential camping as he works to finalise the core of the national U-19 male team. This comes after three weeks of non-residential screening exercises held at the Madina AstroTurf, where 68 promising young talents were identified. The selected players have been split into two groups, with each group reporting to the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence (GSCE) in Prampram on different dates for residential camping. The first batch, consisting of 34 players, is scheduled to arrive at the GSCE on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at noon. They will undergo further assessment by the technical team until Saturday, September 6, 2024.Players who excel during this phase will form the nucleus of the U-19 team and will be invited for additional camping at the GSCE as the team’s development continues. This initiative is part of the ongoing efforts to build a strong and competitive U19 national team.
