The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is bracing for significant sanctions following ongoing issues with crowd control during the Black Stars match against Angola.On Thursday, security at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium faltered during Ghana's 1-0 loss to Angola in the AFCON 2025 Qualifier, leading to two disruptive incidents.The first disruption occurred in the first half when a fan breached security and ran onto the pitch to hug Ghana striker Jordan Ayew.The match was briefly halted, and the fan was arrested shortly after.The situation escalated after the game, as frustrated fans stormed the pitch and vandalised property.After Ghana conceded a 93rd-minute goal, the pitch was littered with plastic bottles and other items.Fans kicked around and damaged nearly all of the pitch panels at the stadium.The police managed to arrest one fan in connection with the vandalism.
