Former Ghana FA Cup champions DReams FC will host Ghana Premier League holders FC Samartex at their new home venue Tuba AstroTurf on Saturday after in their opening 2024/25 Ghana Premier League game.The Still Belive lads after struggling last season in the competition are aiming for a strong start to the new season. However, they would have to do that against the Timber Giants who are trying to defend the trophy.Dreams FC under Karim Zito won the FA Cup last two seasons and represented Ghana impressively in the AF Confederations Cup. In that phenomenal debut run, the Ghanaian side went all the way to the semi-finals before succumbing to Zamalek in Kumasi.Despite their impressive form, they struggled to replicate that in the league and narrowly escaped relegation finishing ninth but only four points above the relegation zone.Samartex on the other hand won their first league title last season and are currently participating in the CAF Confederation Cup.After qualifying to the next preliminary round where they face Raja Casabblanca, they are hoping to begin their title defence on a strong note.The match will kick off at 3:00pm.
