Jordan Ayew dropped for Inaki Williams in Ghana's starting XI against Niger

Crystal Palace striker Jordan Ayew has been dropped by Black Stars coach Otto Addo ahead of their crucial 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Niger.Jordan Ayew started in Ghana's previous game against Angola which they lost narrowly at the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium.His place has been taken by Inaki Williams who climbed off the bench in the game against Angola.Majeed Ashimeru who earned praise for his energy and adventurousness when he was introduced in the previous game has also been given the nod by Otto Addo in the crucial game which kicks off at 4:00 pm Ghana time.Ashimeru is taking the place of Elisha Owusu who paired with captain Thomas Partey.The rest of the team that faced the Palancas Negras remain intact in this lineup against Niger.Ati Zigi maintains his place while, Tariq Lamptey, Alidu Seidu, Mohammed Salisu and Abdul Mumin remain the back four.while Partey partners Ashimeru in midfield, Semenyo, Kudus and Issahaku are also in the lineup.Ghana are aiming for their first win in the qualifiers after losing to Angola on Monday ending their 24-year dominance at the Baba Yara Stadium.The game against Niger will take...
