2024/25 Ghana Premier League: Week 1 Match Report – Nsoatreman FC 2-0 Young Apostles
Nsoatreman FC made light work of newcomers, Young Apostles at the Nana Koromansah Park on Sunday, September 8 2024 in their first premier league match of the season.A goal in either half of the game ensured that Yaw Preko’s side picked up all three points at home.Preko named a strong starting line-up and gave new signing, Ferdinand Sabi Acquah his debut in post.Former Medeama forward, Daniel Lomotey was also on the bench for Young Apostles.The first half was on the verge of ending goalless before Mohammed Abdul Rahman headed home in the 46th minute to give Nsoatreman the lead.Apostles came close to restoring parity after recess but were denied by a brilliant Sabi save in the 59th minute. The visitors fought back in the second half but a second goal by their hosts put the game beyond them.Rahman was subbed off in the 87th minute but his replacement, Collins Kofi Cudjoe fired a long range free-kick in stoppage time to beat Bejamin Twumm in post.Nsotreman, after this win are away to Asante Kotoko for their next match while Young Apostles will host Nations FC.
