Samartex coach Nurudeen Amadu reflects on goalless draw against Dreams FC

FC Samartex head coach Nurudeen Amadu has described his side's goalless draw against Dreams FC as a fair reflection of the game despite the numerical advantage they held in the closing stages. The reigning Ghana Premier League champions were held to a 0-0 stalemate on the opening weekend of the 2024/25 season at the Accra Sports Stadium.Dreams FC played the last 20 minutes with ten men after Collins Boah received a second yellow card in the 70th minute.Despite the red card, Amadu felt his team should have capitalized better but accepted that the result was deserved."Numerical advantage does not mean that you win the game," Amadu said after the match. "I will say that it’s a fair reflection. We should have done better as a team in terms of our attacking play and utilizing our chances."He acknowledged that Samartex created more opportunities but lacked the finishing touch. "We did have some decent chances, but our finishing was poor. That is what we need to be working on," he added.Samartex will now shift their focus to their upcoming CAF Champions League fixture against Raja Casablanca, set for Sunday, September 15, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
