2025 AFCON Qualifiers: Ghana FA confirms Forson Amankwah’s late inclusion in Ghana squad

The Ghana Football Association has announced the late inclusion of Forson Amankwah in the Black Stars squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola and Niger.The Norwich City midfielder, who has been in impressive form, will join the team in Kumasi on Tuesday to prepare for their Group F opener against Angola.Amankwah, who has made a notable start at Carrow Road with two assists in six appearances since his transfer from Red Bull Salzburg, replaces the injured Elisha Owusu.The 21-year-old, formerly of West Africa Football Academy (WAFA), has earned two caps for Ghana, having previously played against Nigeria and Uganda in March.Ghana will face Angola at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Thursday, September 5, 2024, and then travel to Morocco to take on Niger on Monday, September 9, 2024.
