GFA invests in balls for domestic leagues

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced plans to invest over GHS 3 million in providing footballs to clubs in the topflight and lower divisions for the upcoming season. This initiative, which was initiated last season, aims to support the development of clubs and alleviate the financial burden associated with equipment acquisition. At the 30th Ordinary Congress held at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence, President Kurt Okraku revealed the GFA's collaboration with FIFA to invest $100,000 in purchasing footballs for grassroots development."Football is all about balls," emphasised Okraku. "Our strategic plan to collaborate with FIFA to invest $100,000 in the purchase of football for grassroots football development will be repeated."Additionally, the GFA has allocated another $100,000 specifically for colt clubs, demonstrating their commitment to nurturing young talent and providing them with the necessary resources. The 30th Ordinary Congress, which began on Monday, August 26, is set to conclude today, marking the official start of the 2024/25 Ghana football season.
