Ghana FA fulfills prize money promise to top Premier League clubs
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has fulfilled its promise to reward the top 10 performing clubs in the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.According to GFA President Kurt Okraku, the association has made payments to the clubs as promised.At the 30th ordinary congress in Prampram, Okraku confirmed that the prize monies have been paid to the top 10 clubs, including Samartex, Accra Lions, Berekum Chelsea, Nsoatreman FC, Aduana Stars, Asante Kotoko, Nations FC, Medeama, Bechem United, and Dreams FC.The payments ranged from GH¢500,000 (approximately $33,000) for Samartex, who won their first Ghana Premier League title, to GH¢20,000 for Bechem United, who finished tenth.“I’m very happy to report to congress that the Football Association have fulfilled the promise we penciled out before the start of the competition last season. We have paid all the prize monies to Samartex, Accra Lions, Berekum Chelsea, Nsoatreman FC, Aduana Stars, Asante Kotoko, Nations FC, Medeama, Bechem United and Dreams FC in that order from the first positon to the tenth position” he said.Here is the breakdown of the payments:1.
