Antoine Semenyo named in Premier League Team of the Week

Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo has been named in the English Premier League Team of the Week after his Man of the Match display against Manchester City last Saturday. The 24-year-old scored as the Cherries ended the champions' unbeaten run in the Premier League in 2024 with a 2-1 victory at the Vitality Park.Semenyo was a handful for City's defenders, particularly Kyle Walker on the right side, outpacing and outpowering him with his incredible footwork. The English-born Ghanaian is joined by Bournemouth teammates Adam Smith and Lewis Cook in Troy Deeney's BBC Team of Week 10.Also in the team is Nigeria and Nottingham Forests' Ola Aina, former teammate Dominic Solanke, who now plays for Tottenham Hotspurs and Newcastle United's Anthony Gordon.Southampton duo Aaron Ramsdale and Taylor Harwood-Bellis were also included in the team alongside Radu Dragusin of Tottenham, Chelsea's Moises Caicedo and Joao Gomes of Wolves.Semenyo has netted four goals in ten Premier League games this season. Troy Deeney's TOTW is here 👇#BBCFootball pic.twitter.com/swjBmT0Qwd— BBC Sport (@BBCSport) November 5, 2024
