Kotoko coach Prosper Ogum confident fans will follow team to Obuasi

Asante Kotoko coach Prosper Ogum is confident that the club's loyal supporters will follow the team to Obuasi, despite the sudden decision to relocate their home games from Kumasi to the Len Clay Stadium. The closure of the Baba Yara Stadium for maintenance has forced Kotoko to shift their home matches to Obuasi. While the move is expected to strain the club's finances, with planning originally centred around Kumasi, Ogum remains optimistic that fans will continue to show their unwavering support."Even though we are going to Obuasi, I know a typical Kotoko supporter who really loves Kotoko will travel and come to Obuasi," Ogum said. "If we go to Obuasi and do well, these supporters will still travel and come. They don't care about the distance. Once Kotoko is playing well and winning, wherever you take Kotoko, our supporters will come."Kotoko started their season with a 1-0 win over Karela United but were sidelined last weekend due to their opponents Nsoatreman's involvement in continental football. Kotoko are now set to face newly promoted Young Apostles this weekend, in a match they are expected to win.
