WAFU B organized a one-day Safe Guarding seminar for Ghana's Black Maidens at the GFA Technical Center in Prampram as part of FIFA's mission to promote safe and inclusive football.Safe Guarding Officers Elizabeth Tall from WAFU B and Bernice Bempah from the Ghana Football Association (GFA) led the seminar, educating the team on various aspects of the FIFA Guardians programme.“Everyone in football has the right to protection from harassment, abuse, and exploitation – be it physical, emotional, or sexual, neglect, or bullying,” Elizabeth Tall emphasized.The FIFA Guardians Programme provides a global framework for all 211 member associations to prevent harm to children in football and ensure a safe sporting environment, as outlined in Article 3 of the FIFA Statutes and Article 23 of the FIFA Code of Ethics.The seminar aligns with FIFA’s commitment to protecting the integrity of the game and fostering a safe space for all participants, including players, coaches, officials, and staff.The Black Maidens, currently in the semi-finals of the WAFU B U-17 Girls Cup, will face the runner-up from Group B on Thursday, December 19, following a perfect group stage record.
