CAF confirms 2025 competition calendar and AFCON draw date

The CAF Executive Committee (EXCO) has approved the 2025 competition calendar and announced that the final draw for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025 will take place on January 27, 2025, in Rabat, Morocco.The announcement was made during the EXCO meeting on December 16, 2024, in Marrakech, chaired by CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe.Morocco has been confirmed as the host nation for the TotalEnergies CAF U-17 Africa Cup of Nations in both 2025 and 2026, reinforcing its growing role in hosting major youth tournaments.Key Competition Dates CAF U-17 Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 Opening Match: March 30, 2025 Final Match: April 19, 2025 CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations Côte d’Ivoire 2025 Opening Match: April 26, 2025 Final Match: May 18, 2025 CAF Confederation Cup Final 2024-25 First Leg: May 17, 2025 Second Leg: May 25, 2025 CAF Champions League Final 2024-25 First Leg: May 24, 2025 Second Leg: June 1, 2025 CAF Women’s Champions League 2025 Opening Match: November 8, 2025 Final Match: November 23, 2025 AFCON Morocco 2025 Opening Match: December 21, 2025 Final Match: January 18, 2026
