Owen tips Antoine Semenyo as potential Salah replacement at Liverpool

Former Liverpool forward Michael Owen has suggested Bournemouth's Antoine Semenyo as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah, should the Egyptian depart Anfield.Salah’s contract expires at the end of the season, leaving him free to negotiate with other clubs in January as Liverpool are yet to table a new deal.Salah hinted at a possible exit after a stellar performance earlier this season, stating, “I haven’t received any proposal. We’re almost in December, and I haven’t received any offers yet to stay at the club… I’m probably more out than in.”Owen believes Semenyo’s standout performances this season make him a strong candidate for Liverpool’s attack if Salah leaves. The Ghanaian forward has scored five Premier League goals this season, including one in Bournemouth's stunning 3-0 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford. He also scored against champions Manchester City.“I don’t think Mo Salah will leave this season, but in the event he leaves, I would be surprised if Liverpool don’t consider Semenyo as a replacement,” Owen said.Semenyo's form has caught the attention of many, and Owen's endorsement adds weight to his growing reputation in the Premier League.
