West Ham United forward Michail Antonio has heaped praise on his teammate Mohammed Kudus, calling him a “star” and an “unbelievable player.”Speaking during a visit to Kudus’ native Ghana, where he also toured his Samba Stars Academy in Kumasi, Antonio expressed deep admiration for Kudus.Since joining from Ajax at the start of last season, Kudus has been one of West Ham’s standout players and was voted their second-best player in his debut season.“Starboy, he is quality, to be fair—an unbelievable player, with the way he dribbles and scores goals,” Antonio said on his arrival in Accra. “He has great ambition for himself, and hopefully, we can get some players like that from the academy.”“He’s a quality player and someone we definitely need in our squad. Things haven’t gone well this year, but I know he’s going to come back fully ready.”Despite Antonio’s praise, Kudus has had a challenging start to the season, with just two goals so far. He is currently serving a five-match ban after a red card incident following an altercation with Tottenham.
