Internal issues plagued Hearts of Oak's 2023/24 season, says coach Aboubakar Ouattara

Hearts of Oak coach Aboubakar Ouattara has openly acknowledged the internal problems within the club that contributed to their disappointing 2023/24 Ghana Premier League campaign.Despite starting his tenure with promising performances, Ouattara’s side struggled significantly in the latter part of the season, culminating in a nerve-wracking battle against relegation.The team secured their top-flight status with a crucial win over Bechem United on the final day, amidst controversy."Last season, after the game against Bofoakwa Tano at WAFA Park, our problems started," Ouattara said. "The issues were internal and not with the board or management but within the playing body itself."Ouattara revealed that conflicts among the players and between the technical team and the squad were exacerbated following a challenging match against Samartex, which also saw the resignation of the club’s goalkeeper coach."We’re trying to solve it,” Ouattara continued. "Sometimes it’s personal problems between the technical team and the players and also among the players themselves.
