Nsoatreman to learn CAF Confederation Cup opponent on Thursday

Nsoatreman FC will be on the edge of their seats on Thursday, July 11, 2024, as they discover their opponent for the preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup.The club earned their place in the inter-club competition after their dramatic FA Cup victory last month at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.They edged out regional rivals Bofoakwa Tano 4-3 on penalties to secure their first-ever FA Cup title under coach Maxwell Konadu.Konadu has since departed for South Africa's Black Leopards, but Yaw Preko has been unveiled as his replacement, signing a two-year deal to lead Nsoatreman in the upcoming season.The preliminary round draw will be held on Thursday at the CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, with the kickoff for the stage scheduled for August.While the excitement builds for Nsoatreman's debut in continental competition, the venue for their CAF Confederation Cup home games remains undecided.Nsoatreman FC's venue in Nsoatre doesn't meet CAF requirements to host continental matches, so they might settle for Kumasi's Baba Yara Stadium.
