Thierry Henry: I will always watch the AFCON

France and Arsenal great Thierry Henry has indicated that he is a big fan of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).Speaking on the CBS Sports Golazo show, the former Arsenal star revealed that he has always watched the Africa Cup of Nations and will always watch because there are great teams that play in the tournament.“I can also mention the guys that came to play in Europe – Didier Drogba, Samuel Eto’o, Jay-Jay Okocha.“AFCON was always a tournament I enjoyed watching because you could see skills and great teams. I also watched this competition [2025 AFCON]; I will always watch it,” Henry said.The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations came to an end on Sunday, January 18, with host Morocco taking on Senegal in the grand final.In a game that travelled into extra time and witnessed chaos, Senegal secured the trophy after beating the host nation 1-0 at the end of the 120 minutes.Despite the chaos that marred the final moments of the tournament, Morocco has been praised for hosting a fantastic tournament.
