Alan Shearer lauds Mohammed Kudus’ impact at Tottenham

Alan Shearer has praised Mohammed Kudus for his impressive start to life at Tottenham Hotspur under new manager Thomas Frank.The Ghanaian international, who joined Spurs from West Ham in the summer, has started every game so far this season after benefiting from a full pre-season with the North London side. Kudus once again shone at the weekend, registering two assists as Tottenham fought back from two goals down to secure a 2-2 draw against Brighton at the Amex Stadium.Frank hailed the 25-year-old’s hold-up play and one-v-one ability after the match, describing him as a huge asset to his team. Shearer echoed those sentiments on The Rest is Football podcast.“Kudus did well again. He’s a real threat, isn’t he? Yeah, 2-0 down, they were always going to take 2-2, but I thought they were worthy of a point. Thomas Frank has made a really good start there,” the former Newcastle United striker said.Kudus has now recorded four assists in just five Premier League appearances for Spurs, only one fewer than his total tally across the whole of last season with West Ham.
