Asante Kotoko pay tribute to Annor Walker

Asante Kotoko have paid tribute to former player Annor Walker following the news of his passing. The legendary footballer and former coach passed away on Wednesday in Accra following his battle with illness.The news of his demise sent shockwaves to football followers in the country, with Kotoko penning a heartfelt message to their ex-player."Asante Kotoko SC is saddened to hear of the passing of our former player Annor Walker, who joined the Porcupine squad in 1981. Rest in peace, Walker, a true servant of the Ghanaian game," wrote the club on social media.Walker worked with several clubs, including Great Olympics, Nania FC, Kpando Hearts of Lions, and Berekum Chelsea. A CAF License A holder, he guided Nania FC to their historic 2011 MTN FA Cup triumph over Asante Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium.In 2020, Walker took charge of Great Olympics, where he built one of the club’s most competitive sides in recent years.
