Chairman of the Elite U15 Inter-Regional Tournament, Eugene Nobel, has officially welcomed participating teams to this year’s competition at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.Addressing players and officials, Mr Nobel assured all participants of a well-organised event and pledged full support for the young female athletes as they pursue excellence in football. He described the tournament as part of the FIFA Talent Development Scheme (TDS), aimed at discovering and nurturing emerging talents across the country.“This platform is designed to provide a competitive environment where aspiring athletes can showcase their skill, technique, and passion. It focuses on individual growth rather than just results,” he said, urging players to embrace teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.Vice Chairperson of the committee, Evelyn Nsiah Asare, was also in attendance to support the launch. The championship serves as a key avenue for talent identification, offering promising players the chance to be scouted for future national teams while gaining valuable exposure.Organised by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) in collaboration with FIFA, the tournament runs from Monday, October 6 to Saturday, October 11, 2025, and marks another major step in developing women’s football in Ghana.
