Uber should be regulated, not banned
THE EDITOR, Madam: I write to contribute to the ongoing national discussion regarding the role of ride-hailing platforms, particularly Uber, in Jamaica’s transportation and tourism sectors. While concerns have been raised, I strongly believe that banning Uber would be a step backward rather than a solution. Instead, the focus should be on proper regulation and integration within the existing transport framework.
