Large contraband seizure at Kingston-area prison

There was a large contraband seizure last week at a prison in the Kingston area. On February 20, 2025, as a result of the vigilance of staff members, a package containing contraband and unauthorized items was seized at Collins Bay Institution, a multi-level security federal institution. The items seized included tobacco, marijuana, “shatter” (cannabis concentrate), ecstasy pills, cocaine and Dilaudid pills, an edged blade, as well as cellphones and cell phone accessories.
