City of Belleville to receive Housing Accelerator Funding

The City of Belleville has been successful in its latest application for housing funding. Belleville Planning Advisory Committee Chair Paul Carr confirmed the news on Monday that the city will be receiving money from the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation in its Round 2 cycle of Housing Accelerator funding. No sum has been revealed yet, but Carr said to expect more information to come out later in the week. After being denied funding in the first round of funding applications, city council agreed to put in another submission for the Housing Accelerator Fund for round 2 at a council meeting back in September...
