Investigation continuing after OPP officer struck on 401 by Napanee

The investigation continues into a collision which left a Lennox and Addington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer seriously injured. On January 29, 2025, just before 7:00 a.m. the officer was struck by a passing vehicle while at the scene of an earlier collision on the westbound lanes of Highway 401 near Newburgh Road. The officer was transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries and is continuing to recover from those injuries. The on-scene investigation was assisted by OPP Collision Reconstructionists and Technical Collision Investigation team members.
