Bowmanville resident faces impaired, dangerous driving charges in April crash

Northumberland OPP have charged an individual following a serious collision on Highway 401 back in the spring. On April 20, just before 7:00 p.m., officers responded to a collision on Highway 401, near Newtonville Road, in the Municipality of Port Hope. Two vehicles were involved and one driver was air-lifted to Toronto-area trauma centre with life-threatening injuries. The eastbound lanes of Highway 401 between Newtonville Road and Service Centre Road were closed for several hours while the OPP Technical Collision Investigators assisted with the investigation.
