PEC Firefighters battle huge grass fire

A large grass fire was brought under control quickly on Tuesday afternoon in Prince Edward County. Around 3:30 pm, a fire broke out in a field along Fry Road between County Roads 4 and 5. It covered 40 acres spanning three separate properties. Crews from Stations 1, 2 and 4 responded to the scene and brought it under control in less than an hour.
