Drilling and blasting starting Monday in PEC

Meantime, there will be more noise than usual on the Millennium Trail in Wellington starting Monday. Drilling and blasting operations will be occurring this week until Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. as part of the Wellington trunk watermain and sanitary sewer construction project. Drilling and blasting will allow the contractors to excavate rock and install the new water and sanitary infrastructure at the proper depth. Prince Edward County officials say the operations will take place on the section of the trail that is closed between Belleville Street and Consecon Street....
