19-year-old who fled scene of reported assault charged

A man who reportedly fled the scene of a domestic situation over the weekend in Belleville has been charged with assault. Around 1:15 Saturday afternoon, Belleville Police stated a domestic dispute in the west end involved a man attending a residence and reportedly physically assaulting a woman before leaving the scene.  Further investigation revealed the male was in breach of a probation order for failing to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
