Golden Hawks outlast Canucks for sixth straight victory

The Trenton Golden Hawks experienced a little frustration before elation on Sunday afternoon. The Hawks earned their first ever victory over the Niagara Falls Canucks, 4-2 at the Duncan McDonald Community Gardens, outshooting the visitors 47-24. Mikael Kingo proved to be difficult to beat in the opening frame, shielding out all 17 tries the Golden Hawks managed to put on goal as the game remained deadlocked at zeroes. The Canucks went ahead on a powerplay goal by Braeden O’Keefe 4:07 into the second period, but Trenton continued to press and eventually got one of their own on a man advantage...
