Linda Downey of Storehouse Foodbank receives Civic Recognition Award

Retired President of The Storehouse Foodbank based in Wellington, Linda Downey, received a standing ovation at the Prince Edward County Council meeting on Jan 14, 2025 for her dedicated service to the community for nearly 20 years. Downey was presented a Civic Recognition Award at the Prince Edward County Council by Mayor Steve Ferguson and Councillor of Wellington, Corey Engelsdorfer. Downey had been the President of The Storehouse Foodbank since 2007 and was honoured for her contribution to the community by supporting those in need.
