‘Urgent need’ for real-time data to address labour shortages

Local industry leaders say there is an "urgent need" for real-time data on job availability and future labour trends to address workforce shortages. That was the key message from a meeting hosted by the Centre for Workforce Development on Monday.  The event brought together leaders from healthcare, police services, manufacturing, employment services, and municipalities to address critical labour shortages in the region.
