Belleville police are warning the public to be wary of parking lot jewelry sales following the report of a bait-and-switch theft. Officers received a report about an incident alleged to have happened in the parking lot of a Millennium Parkway business on Saturday at 4 p.m. The complaint told police she was approached by a family attempting to sell an expensive necklace and offered for her to try it on.
