Justin Trudeau has resigned as Prime Minister and the leader of the Liberal Party. Speaking at a news conference outside Rideau Cottage on Monday morning Trudeau said he intends to resign as party leader and as Prime Minister after the party selects its next leader "through a robust, nationwide competitive process."
