LETTER – Community engagement is vital to democratic governance

As I walked around the Farmers market last Saturday, a few thoughts sprang to mind, which I thought I would share.  The Benefits of Community Engagement for People and Politicians Community engagement is a dynamic process that involves collaboration, and active participation, between the public and their elected representatives. This interaction fosters a mutually beneficial relationship that positively impacts both citizens and politicians. Benefits for People Empowerment and Inclusion: Engaging with residents empowers individuals by giving them a voice in the decisions that affect their lives.
