A Queen's University Medical student will be making a new home in Belleville within the next five years after being signed on to the city's Doctor Recruitment Program. Kimberly Mitchell was announced as the 51st physician to be recruited through the program on Monday. Mitchell will begin to receive financial support as she completes medical school and starts her residency. She is expected to begin practicing in 2029.
